My son is growing fast and in its wake are a pile of chores left undone: dust bunnies in the corner, pile of dry cleaning in the hamper, dirty dishes in the sink and a list of groceries not bought. He woke up at his usual time in the morning at quarter before 7 am and wanted me to be up with him. I dragged myself out of bed with my husband slowly behind me; both adults groggy. He got down and proceeded to his play room. I made myself a small bed from his comforter and pillows on the floor. I slept with one eye open and finally it was 9 am. In between my husband has fed him with breakfast and played with him to his heart's content. I joined them in the living room, where he proceeded to greet me with "Hi mommy! Whacha doin Mommy?" I didn't know what I answered but I sat down on the bottom of the steps where he found me. He climbed up to me and said "Kiss." and kissed me, "Hug." and gave me a hug and a pat on the back and said " I wob you" with that I said "I love you too." and gave a silent thankful prayer to God.
