Sting's birthday is on October 2nd and he will be celebrating it with a few select fans by performing a concert that night. The tickets were given to the fan by lottery and I had put in my name for the drawing but alas, I did not win. However, I will be celebrating it separately on October 1st with a couple of other Sting fans. i am excited to meet so many people who share the same fanaticism as I have for Sting.
This 10-day concert series will promote the release of his new album "The Last Ship." It will be shown at the very intimate Public Theater in downtown NYC. I believe it only seats about 200 people. I have seen him up close at other concerts and now I can no longer settle for less than orchestra seat if I can afford it.
The concert on October 1st will begin with a fan gathering at the Lure. Many of the fans will be traveling from far corners of the globe; many will be coming from Europe, Canada, Asia and Australia. I can't wait to meet all of them.
