A day in the life of Flo

I came home late from work and had to go food shopping. For a few bags of grocery, I had spent about $178. As I head out to my car, the thought of the depreciation of the dollar briefly hit me. When I arrived in the States back in 1997, I could fill my grocery cart with $200. That was then, now is now. I focused back to the present and realized it was past 7 pm. Xavier's dinner time. I let out a sigh. I won't have time to play with him anymore.
Indeed when I got home, my mom has fed him and he was ready for bed. I felt a twinge of guilt that I could not spend more quality time with my son. I made a mental note to get home sooner to be with him. Time flies so fast. I bathed him and got him ready for bed. He nursed for a few minutes and soon fell asleep. I kissed him goodnight and laid him in his crib. I thank God for another day with my son.
