Today Xavier was pretend playing with his excavator truck and dump truck. Then with a low grown up voice he said to his trucks, "Excavator grappler, dump truck you are on time out. You hear me? You cannot play with mommy anymore."
I did not know how to react. His trucks are his favorite toys and the excavator was his favorite of all. So to hear him put these toys on time out was somewhat bothersome for me.
Children are often times mirrors and reflect what they hear and see. I wonder if it was me he's imitating or if it was someone in school.
Remove your shoes, take a seat beside me and be comfortable. Welcome to my world.
